This classic Connecticut home from the early 19th century was updated with clean lines and fresh, transitional decor by interior designer Elizabeth Brush Saypol. She paired this soft, atmospheric mural with sassy pink pillows — what a fun hello!

We love the way Dana Simpson of Hammertown created an intimate setting with just a few elements in this home from the 1700s. The room has an almost Shaker-like simplicity, yet the mural keeps it from being staid. Can’t you picture a happy family at Thanksgiving at that long, comfortable table?
